Quick Answer

This is a 6-night, 7-day Golden Triangle tour that adds Varanasi: Delhi, Jaipur, Agra and Varanasi, ending in Delhi. You get a guided tour of Chandni Chowk and the Qutub Minar complex, a day trip to Amber Fort and Jantar Mantar, a stopover at Fatehpur Sikri on the way to Agra, an early-morning Taj Mahal visit for sunrise, then a train to Varanasi for a boat ride and the evening Aarti at the Ganga ghats. The trip returns to Delhi by flight. Raahi Cabz can plan the road legs as a private-cab trip, and the route can be adjusted. See the full day-by-day itinerary below.

Delhi, Agra and Jaipur are the classic Golden Triangle. This itinerary adds Varanasi, the ancient holy city, at the end, so the trip finishes somewhere very different from the monuments that come before it. Each city offers something of its own: Delhi a bit of everything, Agra the Mughal era, Jaipur a glimpse of Rajputana royalty, and Varanasi the spiritual side of India.

It runs the triangle in the order Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, then takes a train from Agra to Varanasi and a flight back to Delhi. Seven days is tight for four cities, and the plan shows it: Day 5 is shared between the Taj Mahal and the train, and Varanasi gets one full day, Day 6.

We can plan the road legs between Delhi, Jaipur and Agra as a private cab journey, so you aren't tied to a group's pace on the driving days.

Why Add Varanasi

Delhi, Jaipur and Agra are largely about looking at monuments: forts, palaces, the Taj Mahal. They're impressive, but the days follow a similar pattern.

Varanasi changes that. The day is built around the Ganga: a boat ride on the river, then the evening Aarti at the ghats. It gives the trip a different mood to finish on, which is why it's worth adding to the standard route.

When to Go

Best Window

October to March

Daytime temperatures are comfortable for sightseeing. In December and January, fog can delay trains and flights, so leave some slack around the Day 5 train and the Day 7 flight.

Worth Avoiding

April to June

It gets very hot across Jaipur, Agra and Varanasi, so unless that's your only window it's worth skipping.

Who This Trip Suits

It suits first-time visitors who want more than the standard Golden Triangle, couples, and families who like variety. It's a poorer fit if you want long, unhurried days at each stop, because Varanasi gets one day and Day 5 is shared between the Taj Mahal and the train. In that case, ask for an extra night.
