Golden Triangle Tour: 6 Days Through Delhi, Agra and Jaipur
Three cities, three histories: British and Mughal Delhi, Mughal Agra and Rajput Jaipur, in six days.
This is a 5-night, 6-day Golden Triangle tour covering Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, starting and ending in Delhi. You get a guided Delhi tour with the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun's Tomb and the Qutub Minar complex, the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and the Tomb of Itimad-Ud-Daulah in Agra, a guided visit to Fatehpur Sikri on the way to Jaipur, and the City Palace, Jantar Mantar and local bazaars in Jaipur. Raahi Cabz can plan the road legs as a private-cab trip, and the route can be adjusted. See the full day-by-day itinerary below.
The Golden Triangle gets its name from the position of its three cities on the map, and it packs British, Mughal and Rajput history into one short trip. You start in Delhi with a guided city tour, move on to the Mughal side in Agra and the Rajput side in Jaipur, and close back in Delhi.
Six days is a short Golden Triangle, and the plan shows it. Delhi gets one busy sightseeing day, and Agra doesn't get a full day of its own. If that suits your schedule, it's an efficient way to see the three cities. If you'd like more breathing room, ask for an extra night.
We can plan this as a private cab journey, so the road legs between the cities follow your pace and not a group's.
Why This Route Works
Delhi, Agra and Jaipur are close enough to link by road and different enough to feel like separate trips. Delhi mixes Mughal monuments with the British-era capital. Agra is the Mughal city, with the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Jaipur is the Rajput city, with palaces and busy bazaars.
That makes it a practical first trip to India: three very different cities, a manageable route, and the major landmarks covered without much repetition.

Day by Day
Arrive in Delhi
Arrival day. The sightseeing starts tomorrow.
Delhi Sightseeing
A guided tour of Delhi: the Laxmi Narayan Temple and Parliament House, India Gate and the Gandhi Memorial, then the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humayun's Tomb and the Qutub Minar complex. It's a full day, and in the evening the Dance of India show gives it a change of pace.
Delhi to Agra, by road
By road to Agra, where the itinerary covers Agra Fort, the Tomb of Itimad-Ud-Daulah and the Taj Mahal. Seeing the three together gives you a fuller picture of Agra's Mughal side than the Taj alone.
Agra to Jaipur, via Fatehpur Sikri
A guided visit to Fatehpur Sikri on the way, covering Jama Masjid, Jodha Bai Palace, Birbal Bhawan and Panch Mahal, along with the Buland Darwaza. Then on to Jaipur, where the tone shifts from Mughal to Rajput.
Jaipur Sightseeing
The City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Nawab Saheb ki Haveli, then time at the local bazaars. After several days of monuments, the markets show a more everyday side of the city.
Jaipur to Delhi, departure
Back to Delhi for departure.
When to Go
October to March
Daytime temperatures are comfortable for walking around forts and monuments for hours at a stretch.
April to June
It gets very hot across all three cities, Agra especially, so unless that's your only window it's worth skipping.
